BENin10D a 2nd generation Sicilian, grew up in the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana and at age 6 heard guitar and learned from his next door neighbor, the legendary writer & performer Johnny Rivers and BEN has been involved in music ever since, everyday of his life since he was 6 years old. His wife says he even writes, plays & performs guitar quite well in his sleep ! His wife says he even writes, plays & performs guitar quite well in his sleep ! Grin BENin10D spent 20+ years in the concert & concert touring business, until 2004 when a spinal cord injury, changed the direction of his life forever. Ar first, you would think what a tragedy, but ask anyone who knows BENin10D and they will tell you he has always been and still is a Half Full Glass type of person. He looks at this event as an opportunity to finally slow down and focus on his one TRUE LOVE in life (other than his wife, Lila and Lab, Angel) writing music. BENin10D writes every single day and he will tell you his songwriting will not only allow him to get off of disability, it will allow him to live more comfortably than he ever has, he say’s it is because GOD is in charge. Even before his accident he had a very deep faith and it appears to be even deeper now. BENin10D always has another national artist in mind when writing each song. BENin10D does understand, one of his major weak points is that each song is not a $1000 studio demo quality. BENin10D shares his disability income barely covers living expenses for himself and his family much less paying for studio work. So he has put together a nice little rig at home and while he does his own recording he honestly admits, he is a much better songwriter than he is a producer and sound engineer, even though he feels he has grown in that area by leaps and bounds, since beginning with his present equipment. He only ask one simple request, that any artist, producer or artist management listen to the song for it’s own merits and not the merits of it’s recording, even though BENin10D states, the recording are good, he just knows if he could afford a studio, they would be much, much better. He welcomes and thanks those that stop by and listen and learn a little bit about BENin10D. We (BENin10D team, not from BENin10D) believe you will find one of the most talented, compassionate, extraordinary men you have ever met, if you ever get the opportunity to meet BENin10D, despite his injury and condition, he still devotes a large amount of time finding people who are in need and finding a way to help.
