Bonafide has toured extensively in Japan, Australia, Hawaii, United States and New Zealand where they entertained 10,000 reggae-hungry fans. Their musical pedigree has allowed them to play along side high profile Reggae Artist’s such as Wailing Soul, Michael Rose, Sanchez, and Bounty Killer.

The group was nominated in 2006 for Best Group or Duo at the EME Reggae...

2007, Was a big year for the group. Bonafide had a huge debut showing at the Kings of Kings Unite the People concert in Montpelier, Jamaica entertaining the massive audience.

Bonafide played along with Bennie Man, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, Elephant Man, and Capleton just to name a few. The group also stopped by TVJ to give a roaring morning performance on Smile Jamaica. The group also has played on Reggae Sumfest, the worlds largest reggae festival for two years in a row playing to thousands of reggae fans.

Instrumentation

The group consists of leader Junior Roots who takes lead vocals and drums. Ricky Dread plays keyboards, vocals and is the musical director. Bass Wayne is in charge of putting down the bass and vocals. Mickey Gitts plays guitar and vocals. They have rounded off the Group with DJ Kerry Ranks.
