Todays Hip Hop seems over-rated and rarely relatable. Many of todays artist have the mind set that they have to make songs for Ringtone Companies which in turn takes them out of their true element and style that makes them who they are.

While remaining buisiness minded Sour E brings relevent hip hop music into the mainstream for the enjoyment of all ages through the art of story telling and painting pictures with lyrics. Sour E also offers a wide range of talent with his group of close talented friends A.K.A. "Rise Represantaz",vocally and lyrically, Sour E and the Rise Reps are exacatly what the hip hop world is terribly missing.

Sour E, given name Darius Moses was born in Brooklyn, New York, 1984. Raised in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn by his grandmother Clara. Sour E is the oldest of nine siblings, having one older sister.

Sour E was introduced to hip hop by his older cousin Patrick Ray at the age of ten. He had Sour E listen to the likes of Bone Thugs N Harmony, followed by Notorous BIG. Needless to say it grew on Sour E. Within months, Sour E started writing his own rhymes. Even performing for class mates at school lunch or recess and after school programs.

Before giving his attention solely to music, Sour E also played varsity basketball for Benjamin Banneker High school in Brooklyn which progressed to joining Jamestown Community College in Upstate New York. Sour E played only 12 Games of Ju-Co ball before academic problems cost him his spot on the team. Sour E began focusing on his music.

In 2004 Sour E returned to Brooklyn not knowing what was next for him, Sour E began to clash with the law partying and hanging out with the wrong people. Dedicated to his art, Sour E began working on tracks in the studio becoming more familiar with all the elements of creating great music.

Sour E is a story teller that puts the listener in his shoes and simply has fun doing what he does. Sour E sounds like T.I. Jay-Z and kanye West mixed in a lyrical pot. Wanting to put Fort Greene,Brooklyn on the map, Sour E states his trails and tribulations through these streets steam his music and keeps him humble.
